Stillness and Zen-sation, the feeling of total harmony between you and everything around you, allowing and flowing,
gentle and soft, yet very present and passionately alive.

The true meaning of the sword

A sword, the shape of a defensive and offensive tool. We are such grand creators !

As we need to discover what our inner battles energetically project into the air, we create the tools for such battles.

The weapon that we use becomes the understanding that we are. Have we ever fought another being, a dragon, a hunter, a man ? Or was it just the play of an imaginative mind, providing real life sensations, making us believe our own game ?

The sword now becomes the metal that we have within ourselves, after eons of fighting, we find that we actually never fought another person, but only the reflection of our own needs. The knightly sword becomes the galvanized spine of our mental forging in search for balance and harmony. Stillness after the many fights that we had. The sword now disappears again where it always came from : inside. It regains its rightful place within the golden spine of the true warrior that has gained the insights of wisdom : there never was an opponent.

Full circle

When there is nothing anymore to find or to embrace, or to release or to need, a full circle draws itself. I am stillness.
There is new life, something is beyond words, and I listen. I listen so silently to the stillness that I start to 'hear' something from another world. Another world ? Not really, it is a world that I forgot, however is very alive 'somewhere'.
I start to feel its call, it draws me to paint a circle. The circle is naturally flowing into itself again. I listen to the movement, because a completion is about to happen. I remember with every breath.
What is happening ? I fulfilled my promise to end the cycle of repetition. Another dynamic is calling, from beyond the guarded portals of the 5 elements. It's all there, alive and vibrant. The promise of totality, and expansion.
But first, now, I listen and breathe. It is nice to be still and silent, because it opens my gateway to something very deep.

Comments on the martial way

If you prepare for an attack in your mind, then attack will follow. Check your thoughts, and decide if you really desire the play of fight and friction. If not, disengage your mental preparation, however stay awake, focused and kindly alert. There is truly no opponent, unless you command the vibration that creates it.
Fighting and physical training is truly about self-mastery. As the fight engages, it can only take place if there is an inner battle already. In that case, a fight is always a training for non-violence.
Self-defense truly grows from the inner fear for self.
Defense
is based on fear which creates an invitation for attack, always. Attack is based on the need to fill the void that created the invitation.

Here and now

There is something mysterious about being Here/Now. It is the only place of creation and power, and every moment of Now generates that what is hidden in our own human fields, created by desires, wishes, intents, ideas, the heart.
Every step of the way is forged only one second before in the living field of our human self and it becomes then an apparent life-movie. As we are, we create. As we create, we are.
Every person has a story in his body and mind, some of the stories are unconscious and seem to be run by a program. Other stories are very conscious and are run by the higher spirit of truth, the one that is the rightful owner of life. There is a deeper layer to life than just walking the earth, however it cannot be found on earth. It can be found when one becomes silent and still.
In the moment of stopping the outside, the Here/Now reveals a stillness that is of another quality, it does not speak, it does not move, however it fills the whole universe with essence. In that essence there is fulness, something that is not of this world.
Here/Now is a portal to something deep that cannot be named truly : it is the life of the no-life, going through the gate of no-gate, it is the noise of the no-noise. It is the middle point of two opposite forces...and then there is something else....

Silence - the space of truth

Being in Japan and visiting the Edo energy of the Samurai, a connection is being made with a silence that is very different from the silence one can talk about when travelling in another part of the world. Zen is the word that comes up here. Zen, the place of nothing, but not empty.
Here there is another stillness. The Japanese people are wired in a different way to their minds, and they live with much more stillness than anywhere else experienced. It is a bliss to walk in this country, although it is a mixture of robotica, automatisms and deep stillness and comprehension of the fields of emptiness. The human world is filled with work, activity, running to places and being polite. The world of stillness, once it is really found and felt, has a deep quality that reveals something mysterious.
It is not very easy to make one feel what this stillness generates. It is like the Zen Masters want to convey in the language of noise : the empty fullness, or, going through the gate of no-gate. Being in the mind of the no-mind. The stillness can only be reached when the noise has been put aside, when one slows down the motions, even the physical, and when one becomes very aware in the here-now space.
When one enters the space of true stillness, the silence becomes apparent with another type of message. It reveals a depth that is not of this world, yet is empowering this world. Ah, words are a mere reflection of what is meant. But a tree knows, and the rocks conveys the same message.

I wish neither to possess nor to be possessed.
I no longer covet paradise.

More important, I no longer fear hell...
The medicine for my suffering I had within me
from the very beginning, but I did not take it.

My ailment came from within myself,
but I did not observe it.

Until this moment.

Now I see that I will never find the light,
unless, like the candle, I am my own fuel,
consuming itself.

The Warrior Heart

There is something about having a warrior heart.
It is a heart that beats its own perfection in carrying and expressing the values it cherishes, the courage of standing tall in the face of adversity. He understands that there is no opponent, and that adversity is coming from himself alone. He sees the truth.
The warrior heart is one that transcends the current limits, the heart that goes beyond the belief systems that have been miseducated upon it. It feels that another power generates the beauty of what it sees and it wants to find the depth it feels.
So it goes further than the normal setting, and it is brave in doing so, because it demands total self-trust and honesty. It demands loyalty to self alone, and understand that others have their own path to walk. He knows he needs to walk this journey on his own, sovereign, sometimes with friends, sometimes alone.

And there is more to it. A true warrior heart is one that has tackled its own demons, the ones that are inside of the body and the mind.

The warrior heart is the one that has understood that only the activating of inner peace is the generator of true peace in the world. The true warrior is the one that stops the fight, all fights, the inner and outer fights.

It has understood that the only maker of wars is himself, so he stands back and observes in a stillness that is from beyond this world. He only activates true valor by expressing gratitude, compassion, forgiveness, understanding and humility.
